LuLaRoe clothes are known for being super versatile. That fact alone is one reason I love wearing them. I love helping my customers get more bang for their buck. One way I accomplish this is by styling capsule collections.
What is a Capsule Collection?
In the LuLaRoe world, capsules are released seasonally. Think holidays like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Halloween. A capsule collection is completely different from these! A capsule collection is taking four to five pieces and being able to create multiple outfits using just those pieces and accessories. When customers purchase capsule collections, they are getting was more value out of the pieces than what they are paying. Capsule collections also allow me to teach my customers styling tips.
How to Make a Capsule Collection
I’m not going to lie, making a capsule collection takes a lot of time. I’m not sure if it takes everyone as long as it takes me. I try and pay as much attention to details as possible when pulling pieces and creating looks with them. When I start to make a capsule collection the first piece I pull is one that I know I will be able to pair with lots of other pieces. It may be a solid Carly or a skirt with a neutral pattern. Once I have that initial piece pulled, I can start to look for other items. The key to finding other pieces to go with that first one is to make sure there is a common color. After finding all the pieces I need, the fun starts.
Styling the Capsule Collection
Creating the outfits is probably my favorite part of a capsule collection. I love to figure out how many outfits I can make with just those four or five pieces. Plus this is where I can apply all those fun tricks that you find on Pinterest. It’s also where tons of layering comes into play. Layering the pieces in different ways is great so customers can see how the pieces can be worn year round. In warmer months it can be as simple as taking one layer off. My end goal with creating capsule collections is teaching customers how to get more value out of their clothes.
